With half-term in full swing it's time to look ahead to the busy summer holiday months.
If you have events to promote for the summer, we have 3 effective tips for you to put into action straight away.
Here at Glide we have over 20 years' experience of working with arts, culture and tourism brands and venues, helping them attract more people to their events through targeted, trackable marketing.
Our Business Development Director, Dom, shares his top tips:
1. Timing is key – whilst there is no doubt consumers are leaving things to the last minute, you should be on their radar 6-8 weeks ahead of the event to plant the idea.
2. Profile your visitor – knowing who you want to attract helps you decide where your message should be visible. We work with venues to reach various demographics using our tailor-made campaigns. Our customers who want a broad reach, for example, enjoy success using print, like leaflets. This enables them to connect with local audiences as well as visitors to the area.
3. Get the channel right - clarify what marketing mix will ‘hit the spot' for you. Print displays, door drop campaigns and digital posters are all great for marketing your event.
Again, knowing your audience - their demographic, interests and behaviours - will help you here.
We would be happy to help you decide which channels would best match your goals, audience and budget.
Case studies: How others are succeeding
Small events: recently, we worked with an event targeting local residents to inspire them to visit an exhibition promoting greener homes and heating.
The client used our targeted door drop campaign to reach the exact postcodes and audience they wanted to attract.
Large events: We have just run a broader campaign for a large festival using our audience-focused leaflet display points, digital posters and our Visitor+ platform to reach their family market.
What do you need to do today to ensure your event gets the attention it deserves?
Whatever that action point is, make sure that you've got our trusted, experienced team on your side!
